Thank you for visiting my book writing and games page.

Lately, looking at a huge number of short stories and novellas I wrote over the years, I have taken the decision to let the stories go out. 

Many will wonder how I am releasing so much, in so little time. One has to understand that I have been writing since I purchased the Commodore Amiga in 1987. Using PenPal, I started dabbling with short stories, which  I still have today on my blog. 

There are perhaps 40 or 50 stories there. Mostly novellas, and rarely passing 30k words, I have lately dabbled with longer tales.

With regards to the games section, I have been playing around with computers since electricity was invented, opening with a ZX81 then moving on to a varied number of different micros, from the TI-99/4A,  to the ZX Spectrum, C64, Amiga, then on to a number of windows computers.

Programming has always been a hobby for me, and the main star on my page is a dream I've had since seeing for the first time, at a friend's home, the original Football Manager by a certain Kevin Toms.

Over the years the images floated in and out of my head, until I once sat myself down to write a game I would love to play. Nothing too complicated with multiple skills. Just a good old retro style footy manager.

And Grass Roots Football Manager popped out. I have been writing this on and off for some seven years as this actually started just as a tool to keep my football records in one simple app.

And now, it is over six thousand lines of code, and so much going on under the hood, it's a wonder it doesn't explode!
